Our commitment

Many of the people who visit this website are older adults or are caring for one. We want everyone to be able to read about our home and reach us easily, including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control or a keyboard instead of a mouse. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we have done

• Large body text (18 pixels or more) and high color contrast
• A “Skip to main content” link and visible keyboard focus
• Menus, the photo gallery and photo viewer can be used with a keyboard
• Descriptive text alternatives for photographs
• Clear headings and page structure for screen readers
• Reduced motion for visitors who turn on that setting on their device
• Pages that work on phones, tablets and computers, and when zoomed in

Known limitations

Online tour booking uses Google Calendar’s appointment page, which we do not control. If it is difficult to use, please call us and we will schedule your visit by phone.
